Hello....my name is Melancholia Roux. I started SL back in Sept. of 07 and have been a working girl since 3 weeks into my rezz day. Some of my jobs consisted of dancing, receptionist, manicurist/pedicurist and have done in store modeling for several businesses.
After taking a few months off from working about 6 months back I decided to get into the modeling and fashion industry of SL and it has now been about 4 or 5 months and am still going strong and loving all there is about it. In real life as a little girl I loved playing dress up and now in SL I have the oppurtunity to play dress up once again and am absolutely and thoroughly enjoying it. There is no better shopping and fashion than Second Life...I love it!!
I taught myself pretty much everything I know about modeling with some help from some of my wonderful model friends as well as learning some new things in my first modeling class that I am taking now. I have to especially thank one Top Model in particular who helped me to get started in this fantastic life of fashion....Wicca Merlin. She steered me in the right direction beginning with JCNY's Model'Fest where I spent 5 weeks as a showcase Model on their runway. From day one of my modeling venture until now I have since been signed on with several agencies doing runway, print ads and assisting in their runway shows as a cuer or announcer if needed.
Along with modeling I also work as an in-store model for QQ Fashion, I am a ModelPage Stylist for MPI which I thorougly enjoy because I am able to help those who are interested in modeling by evaluating their style and helping them to know what is expected of them once they commit to modeling as far as style is concerned.
I aslo enjoy entering contests ....I placed 2nd runner up in the MIss Pacific Heights 2010 Pageant put on by Maniera as well as being selected top 10 finalist in "SL's Calender Models" for the month of October and then being picked to be Miss October 2009. I am honered to have been chosen as Miss October and thank them and the judges for this opportunity and believing in me. I am right where I want to be in my modeling career and am overjoyed to be doing it. I hope in the coming year I will be as fortunate then as I am now with my modeling and maybe even be in the 2010 calender.
